👥 2. Meeting Your Travel Buddy

• Prefer meeting in a public and well-populated place for the first time.
• Inform a trusted friend or family member before meeting someone.
• Avoid sharing sensitive personal information with someone you have just met.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels uncomfortable or unsafe, leave the situation.
• Consider travelling independently until you are comfortable with your travel companion.

🔐 3. Protect Your Personal Information

• Never share passwords, OTPs or authentication codes with anyone.
• Avoid sharing unnecessary financial information.
• Be careful when sharing your home address, identity documents or other sensitive information.
• Use strong and unique passwords for your account.

💬 4. Communication & Respect

MyTravelBuddy expects all members to communicate respectfully.

• Treat other travellers with respect.
• Do not send abusive, threatening or inappropriate messages.
• Respect personal boundaries and privacy.
• Do not pressure another traveller into meeting, travelling or sharing information.

🚫 5. Prohibited Behaviour

The following behaviour is not acceptable on MyTravelBuddy:

• Harassment or bullying.
• Threats, intimidation or violence.
• Fraud, scams or deceptive behaviour.
• Sharing or requesting inappropriate content.
• Impersonating another person.
• Using the platform for unlawful activities.

💰 6. Money & Payments

• Be cautious if another user asks you for money.
• Never share your OTP, PIN, CVV or banking credentials.
• Verify payment details before making any transaction.
• Be especially careful with requests involving urgent payments or unusual payment methods.

🏨 7. Accommodation & Transport

• Verify accommodation and transport details before travelling.
• Use reputable service providers whenever possible.
• Check booking details before making payments.
• Keep your booking confirmations and important travel information accessible.

📢 8. Report a Problem

If you experience harassment, suspicious behaviour, fraud, inappropriate content or another safety concern involving a MyTravelBuddy user, report the issue through the available reporting or support options.

When possible, provide relevant details such as the user's profile, messages or other information that may help us understand the situation.

🚨 9. Emergency Situations

MyTravelBuddy is not an emergency response service. If you are in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services or law enforcement authorities immediately.

Do not wait for a response from MyTravelBuddy when immediate assistance is required.
