1. Definitions
For these Terms:
- MyTravelBuddy means the MyTravelBuddy website, application, services and related platform features.
- User means any person accessing or using MyTravelBuddy.
- Host means a user who creates or manages a user-hosted trip.
- Participant means a user who joins or participates in a trip.
- Official Trip means a trip specifically identified by MyTravelBuddy as an official trip.
- Unofficial Trip or User-Hosted Trip means a trip independently created or organised by a user.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using MyTravelBuddy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any applicable policies referenced within them.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should stop using the platform.
3. Eligibility
You may use MyTravelBuddy only if you are legally permitted to use the service under applicable laws and meet the platform's applicable age requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with laws applicable to you.
4. User Accounts
Certain MyTravelBuddy features require an account.
- You must provide reasonably accurate information.
- You must keep your account credentials confidential.
- You must not share your password or authentication credentials.
- You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.

- Use the platform for unlawful activities.
6. Host Responsibilities
A user creating a user-hosted trip is responsible for providing reasonably accurate trip information.
Hosts should:
- Provide accurate destination and travel dates.
- Provide accurate budget and trip details.
- Clearly communicate important changes.
- Avoid misleading participants.
- Respect participants and platform rules.
- Not request inappropriate or unnecessary sensitive information.
7. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for reviewing trip information and making their own decision before joining a trip.
- Verify important trip information.
- Communicate responsibly with the host and other participants.
- Follow applicable travel rules and laws.
- Protect personal belongings and confidential information.
- Inform the relevant host or platform when appropriate if important details change.
8. Unofficial / User-Hosted Trips
MyTravelBuddy may allow users to create, publish, discover and join trips organised independently by other users.
Unless a trip is clearly identified as an Official MyTravelBuddy Trip, it should be treated as a user-hosted or unofficial trip.
9. Scams, Fraud & User-to-User Disputes
Users should exercise reasonable caution before sending money, sharing personal information, making bookings or entering into private arrangements with another user.
If an individual engages in fraud, scam, misrepresentation, theft, unauthorised payment activity or other unlawful conduct, that individual may be personally responsible for their actions.
MyTravelBuddy does not guarantee private financial arrangements made directly between users unless the specific transaction is expressly provided and covered by an applicable MyTravelBuddy service.
10. Official MyTravelBuddy Trips
Some trips may be specifically identified as Official MyTravelBuddy Trips.
Official Trips may be created, managed or supervised through MyTravelBuddy's administrative systems.
Trip-specific information may include pricing, dates, inclusions, exclusions, cancellation conditions and other applicable requirements.
Users should carefully review the relevant Official Trip information before participating.
11. Travel Buddy Matching
MyTravelBuddy may recommend potential travel companions based on information such as destination, dates, interests, preferences and other available matching criteria.
A recommendation or match is not a guarantee of compatibility, identity, trustworthiness, behaviour, safety or suitability.
12. User-Generated Content
Users may upload profile information, photographs, trip descriptions and other content.
You are responsible for content you submit and should have the necessary rights or permissions to publish it.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, defamatory, misleading or otherwise prohibited.
13. Reviews, Ratings & Feedback
If MyTravelBuddy provides review, rating or feedback features, users must provide honest and relevant feedback based on genuine experiences.
Users must not:
- Create fake reviews.
- Manipulate ratings.
- Threaten another user to obtain a favourable review.
- Use reviews to harass or abuse another person.
14. Prohibited Content
Content that violates applicable laws or platform safety rules may be removed.
Prohibited content may include:
- Fraudulent or deceptive content.
- Threats or harassment.
- Malicious software.
- Content that unlawfully infringes another person's rights.
- Spam or abusive promotional content.
- Content intended to facilitate unlawful activity.
15. Reports & Safety Complaints
MyTravelBuddy may provide tools for users to report scams, abuse, inappropriate content, suspicious activity or other platform concerns.
Reports may be reviewed and appropriate action may be taken depending on the circumstances.
Possible actions may include content removal, account restrictions, suspension or termination where appropriate.
16. Payments & Transactions
Where payment functionality is available, users must provide accurate information and follow applicable payment instructions.
Third-party payment providers may process transactions according to their own terms, policies and security procedures.
Never share OTPs, card PINs, passwords or confidential payment credentials with another user.
17. Trip Changes, Cancellation & Availability
Trip dates, availability, seats, pricing, transportation and other details may change.
Users should review the latest trip details before participating.
Official Trips may have specific cancellation or refund rules displayed with the relevant trip.
18. Personal Safety
Travel and meeting people through an online platform involve risks.
Users are responsible for taking reasonable precautions regarding their personal safety, belongings, travel arrangements and interactions with other users.
MyTravelBuddy is not an emergency-response service.
19. Travel Documents & Legal Compliance
Users are responsible for obtaining and carrying any documents required for their travel.
- Identification documents.
- Visas or permits where applicable.
- Tickets and reservations.
- Required permissions.
- Compliance with local laws and regulations.
20. Third-Party Travel Providers
Travel arrangements may involve hotels, transport operators, guides, booking platforms or other third parties.
Such third parties may have their own terms, policies, cancellation rules and responsibilities.
Users should review the applicable terms before making a booking or payment.
21. Unforeseen Events & Force Majeure
Travel may be affected by circumstances outside reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, landslides, floods, earthquakes, strikes, transport disruptions, government restrictions, emergencies or other unforeseen events.
Trip arrangements may need to be modified, delayed or cancelled as a result.
22. Accuracy of Trip Information
MyTravelBuddy may display information provided by users or third-party sources.
Users should verify important information, especially dates, prices, transportation, accommodation, meeting points and booking conditions before making commitments.
23. Intellectual Property
MyTravelBuddy's original branding, software, interface, designs, logos, graphics and platform materials may be protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit protected platform materials without appropriate permission.
24. User Content & Platform Permission
You retain rights you have in content that you submit to MyTravelBuddy, subject to applicable law.
By submitting content, you provide MyTravelBuddy with the permission reasonably necessary to host, store, display and process that content for operating and providing the platform.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your original content to MyTravelBuddy.
25. Copyright & Content Complaints
If you believe content on MyTravelBuddy infringes your rights, you may report the concern through the available support or reporting mechanism.
We may review reported content and take appropriate action where required.
26. Third-Party Services
MyTravelBuddy may rely on third-party providers for services such as image storage, payments, hosting, authentication, analytics or other infrastructure.
Use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.
27. Platform Availability
MyTravelBuddy may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, infrastructure failures, security incidents or circumstances outside reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue specific platform features when necessary.
28. Security
Users must not attempt to bypass security controls, access restricted systems, interfere with platform infrastructure or obtain another user's private information.
Suspected security vulnerabilities or security incidents should be reported through the appropriate support channel.
29. Account Suspension or Termination
MyTravelBuddy may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where appropriate due to suspected fraud, abuse, security risks, serious policy violations or unlawful activity, subject to applicable requirements.
Users may stop using the platform or request account deletion through available procedures.
30. User Responsibility & Liability
Users are responsible for their own decisions, actions, communications, transactions and arrangements made through or outside MyTravelBuddy.
MyTravelBuddy does not guarantee that every user, profile, representation, trip or user-provided piece of information is accurate, genuine, safe or suitable.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
31. Claims Arising From User Conduct
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a user may be responsible for claims, losses or consequences arising from their own unlawful conduct, misuse of the platform, violation of these Terms or infringement of another person's rights.
32. Privacy
Your use of MyTravelBuddy is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored and processed.
You can access the Privacy Policy through the MyTravelBuddy platform menu.
33. Feedback & Suggestions
If you voluntarily provide suggestions, feedback or ideas regarding MyTravelBuddy, we may use them to improve the platform without creating an obligation to compensate you, subject to applicable law.
34. Changes to These Terms
MyTravelBuddy may update these Terms when features, services, policies or applicable requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
Continued use of the platform after an applicable update may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
35. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by applicable law.

38. Applicable Law
These Terms are intended to operate subject to the laws and mandatory legal requirements applicable to MyTravelBuddy and its users.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any mandatory consumer or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
